Challenge

Alberto Department Store was suffering from customer churn. Having been in the market for 23 years, brand appeal to younger generation started to fade. Old customers have literally outgrown the store’s products. A change was needed. The challenge was to rejuvenate the brand and attract younger generations.

Solution

Interviews were conducted with a number of the store’s younger customers. Results showed that current cosmetics brands did not match the preference of young fashion-savvy customers. An effort was made to revamp most of the makeup brands at the store. A highly targeted Facebook campaign followed. In-store engagement grew immediately afterward. At one time, the owner invited over a makeup artist to perform free makes up sessions to his lady clients. We thought it was a perfect opportunity to promote this event using Facebook Lead Generation forms. The ad invited ladies to book free makeup sessions. Although the budget spent was $20, 15 ladies showed up and started browsing for cosmetics and other items showcased at the store. It was a huge success!
